Who we are
"Tai Chi for Seniors & Beginner" (the "app") is operated by Umar Javed ("we", "us"). If you have any question about your privacy, email us at linkupapp06@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your setup answers and your workout progress stay on your phone. We do not receive them.
- We use a few trusted services to understand how the app is used, measure our ads, and handle subscriptions.
- We never see your full card details. Payments are handled by Apple, Google or Stripe.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information that stays on your phone
When you set up the app, you can answer questions about things like your age, gender, height, weight, goals, sleep, energy, activity level and any body areas you want to avoid. The app uses these answers to build your plan. They are stored only on your device, together with your workout progress and settings. If you delete the app, this information is deleted too.
Information collected by services we use
App usage (Mixpanel)
We use Mixpanel to learn which parts of the app are helpful and where people get stuck. It records events such as which setup screens were viewed and when the subscription screen was opened, completed or closed. These events are linked to a random identifier, not your name. Mixpanel also receives basic technical details such as your device model, operating system, app version and an approximate location based on your IP address.
Ad measurement (AppsFlyer)
We use AppsFlyer and advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to understand which of our ads lead people to install the app. On iPhone, the app asks for your permission before it can use your device's advertising identifier. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", we do not access it, and Apple's privacy-preserving ad measurement is used instead. On Android, AppsFlyer may use your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your phone's settings.
Subscriptions (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)
Payments are made through your Apple or Google Play account, and Apple or Google processes them under their own privacy policies. We never receive your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether you have an active subscription. RevenueCat receives your purchase details and a random app user identifier.
Purchases on our website (Stripe)
If you buy a subscription on our website, Stripe processes the payment. Stripe receives your name, email address, card details and billing country, and uses them to take payment and prevent fraud. We receive your email address, the plan you chose and your payment status, but never your full card number.
Exercise videos
Exercise videos are downloaded from our server at taichi-for-beginners.com. Like almost every web server, it may briefly log technical details such as your IP address and the time of the request, to keep the service running and secure.
Reminders
Workout reminders are scheduled on your phone. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in your phone's notification settings.
When you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you.
How we use information
- To build and show your personal Tai Chi plan.
- To provide and confirm your subscription.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
- To measure how well our advertising works.
- To answer your questions.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers named above, so they can do their job for us, or when the law requires it.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. If this changes, we will update this page first.
Your choices and rights
- Tracking: On iPhone, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking, to change your choice at any time. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
- Notifications: Turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's settings.
- Access or deletion: Email us to ask what information our service providers hold about you, or to ask us to delete it. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR in Europe or privacy laws in California and other US states. We will respond to any request within the time the law requires.
How long we keep information
Information on your phone is kept until you delete the app. Our service providers keep usage and purchase records only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law.
Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. They are required to protect it.
Children
The app is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we will also let you know in the app.
